Men's World Cup Predictions

After the draw, the first reactions were ready, and among those we spoke to was Menno Nolten, one of the eight Dutch top players who will defend the honor of our country in Qatar. Menno Nolten shares his thoughts on the draw:
"It's a great challenge! Countries like Brazil and Portugal have really serious top players. We've already beaten Sweden once during the European Championship, and I think it's definitely possible again. There's a strong wind, so the level will probably be closer. It's still a very difficult group, but if we play tactically well and keep fighting like lions, then I'm confident that there are chances for us as a team. We're going to do everything for it!

The adventure did not start very well for the Dutch men's team, because Youp de kroon Partner of Julian Prins dropped out with an injury 1 day before they left. Yesterday we also spoke to him about this: "Playing for my country is something I have been working hard for the past few years and that this cannot happen because of something so silly is a huge bummer. The past few months I played very well together with Julian and this World Cup was a nice reward for our hard work. On the other hand, there are worse things than this and I am sure that the team will do well without me. I have every confidence in that. There is a tough draw and it will be a big challenge, but that is what makes it great!''
With this positive and determined attitude, Team Netherlands starts their adventure. The teams know that the conditions in Qatar are unpredictable, and that brings both challenges and opportunities. However, the Dutch players are ready for whatever comes their way.

Interview Victoria Kurz Team Germany:
After the draw, we spoke to Victoria Kurz, one of the top players representing Germany, who shared her thoughts on the group Germany has found itself in.
"It's a tough group because we're also playing against Spain, the number one," says Victoria. "But it's a great experience to play against such a strong team."
Victoria is also looking forward to the first group match against Chile, a team Germany has met twice in previous World Cups. "We've beaten them twice, but they were always very close games," she explains. "I expect it will take a lot of time and energy on the court this time as well."
About the match against Brazil she adds: "We are definitely the underdog there. But we are going to play freely and hopefully we can surprise!"
In short, Victoria is in good spirits and looking forward to it, despite the challenging opponents.
