Bullpadel Icon 2027
The Bullpadel Icon 27 is an offensive padel racket for advanced and professional players who want to combine power with precision, spin, and plenty of versatility. Juan Martín Díaz’s signature racket combines a diamond shape with a high balance point and an Xtend Carbon 12K hitting surface. This gives you plenty of weight behind attacking shots, while the medium touch and MultiEva core prevent the racket from feeling extremely stiff.
What type of player is this racket suitable for?
The Bullpadel Icon 27 is designed for advanced, competitive, and professional players with an attacking playing style. The racket is particularly well-suited for players who like to take the initiative, play a lot at the net, and apply pressure through volleys, viboras, bandejas, and smashes.
With a balance point of 26.3 cm and a weight of 370–375 grams, this is a relatively heavy and high-balance racket. This gives you a lot of mass behind the ball and allows you to benefit from extra power when accelerating with an overhead stroke. As a result, the racket does require sufficient technique and physical strength to maneuver it effectively throughout an entire match.
The Icon distinguishes itself from extremely stiff power rackets thanks to its Xtend Carbon 12K hitting surface and MultiEva core. This combination provides a medium touch and slightly more elasticity, allowing you to maintain sufficient ball feel and control in addition to power. This makes the racket an attractive option for an offensive player who not only wants to hit hard but also relies heavily on placement, variety, and spin.
For beginners or players looking for a light, soft, and very forgiving racket, the Icon 27 is less suitable.
Key Features
The Bullpadel Icon 27 has a diamond shape, weighs 370–375 grams, is 38 mm thick, has a hitting surface of 534 cm², and a balance point of 26.3 cm. This combination gives the racket a distinctly offensive character with plenty of stability and weight behind the ball.
The hitting surface is made of Xtend Carbon 12K. The structure of 12,000 carbon filaments combines stiffness with sufficient elasticity and responsiveness. As a result, the surface feels less hard than the more compact Xtend Carbon 3K, creating a medium touch that effectively balances power and control.
The MultiEva core consists of EVA layers with varying densities. The stiffer outer layers respond powerfully and immediately at high ball speeds, while the softer inner layer offers more comfort, forgiveness, and control on gentler shots.
A key technology is the Icon Core. The arms at the heart of the racket are angled at 25 degrees. This construction creates controlled torsion and helps efficiently transfer energy to the ball upon impact. At the same time, it reduces air resistance. As a result, the racket maintains sufficient speed during the swing despite its relatively high weight.
The 3D Grain surface provides extra grip on the ball and supports spin play. Ease Vibe, Vibradrive, and Hesacore help reduce unwanted vibrations and enhance the comfort of the sturdy construction. With CustomWeight, experienced players can also further adjust the weight and balance to suit their personal preferences.
Feel and Performance
The Bullpadel Icon 27 has a medium touch and feels powerful, stable, and responsive. Due to its relatively high weight and high balance, you clearly feel mass behind the ball. This instills a lot of confidence during attacking shots and allows you to generate a lot of power with volleys, viboras, and smashes.
At the same time, Xtend Carbon 12K provides enough elasticity to prevent the racket from feeling extremely hard or stiff. The MultiEva core enhances this effect by offering more comfort and ball feel at lower ball speeds while providing a firmer response on powerful shots.
The Icon Core also makes the racket appealing to players who like to use spin and acceleration. The racket remains stable when you hit the ball hard, while the 3D Grain structure provides extra grip on sliced volleys, viboras, and other spin shots.
The Bullpadel Icon 27 is therefore particularly well-suited for experienced, attacking players who prefer a slightly heavier racket and seek maximum stability, power, and spin, but don’t want the extremely hard feel of a completely rigid power racket.
