The Head Motion Pro Padel is the first shoe that Head has designed entirely around padel, in collaboration with its own professional players. This Black/Red version features an upper that is almost entirely black: black mesh, black laces and the HEAD logo in white on the side. The red features on the heel and the panels across the midfoot, and particularly at the bottom: the entire outsole is red.

Who is the Head Motion Pro Padel Black/Red suitable for?

Head positions the Motion Pro for the all-court player: someone who covers the entire court and adapts their game point by point. The shoe therefore doesn’t overemphasise any single feature. Head itself cites the combination of low weight, stability, durability and cushioning as the main advantage. The outsole has been developed for artificial grass and synthetic courts with a rubber base layer, where quick changes of direction and controlled movement are more important than speed in a straight line.

Technology and construction

The upper consists of lightweight, breathable mesh and is constructed as a fully elastic sock-like design that envelops the foot from the very first step. Straps run across the midfoot and are integrated into the lacing system: as soon as you tighten the laces, the foot is securely held in place. Stability comes from the combination of a TPU shank under the midfoot, the reinforced upper and Lateral Control+, which strengthens the sidewall. Durable rubber covers the toe and forefoot – exactly where you tend to wear down the material when dragging your forefoot. Cushioning comes from DynaFoam, a lightweight and responsive midsole constructed with small air cells. A ventilated cooling system in the midfoot and perforations in the outsole and insole keep your foot cooler during long matches.

Grip and fit

The shoe features Head’s Motion Tread outsole, with a tread pattern tested in collaboration with pitch manufacturer MONDO, providing grip in all directions without preventing sliding. Head describes the Motion Pro as having a medium fit: there is ample space in the toe box and across the midfoot, making it suitable for average to slightly wider feet.
