De Stiga Cybershape 18K LW 2 is de lichtgewichtvariant binnen de Cybershape 18K-lijn en is ontwikkeld voor spelers die controle, precisie en wendbaarheid zoeken, zonder onnodige belasting van arm, elleboog of pols. Dit model combineert de bekende Cybershape-eigenschappen met een lager gewicht en een neutraler balanspunt, wat resulteert in een vriendelijker en beter controleerbaar speelgevoel dan bij de zwaardere 18K-uitvoeringen.
De 18K LW 2 is geen powerknuppel en ook geen instapracket. Het is een technisch controlerend allround racket, gericht op spelers die tempo willen beheersen en constant willen spelen.
Voor welk type speler is dit racket geschikt
De Stiga Cybershape 18K LW 2 is vooral geschikt voor rechterkantspelers op intermediate tot gevorderd niveau die het spel willen opbouwen met rally’s, plaatsing en verdediging. Het lagere gewicht maakt dit racket bijzonder aantrekkelijk voor ervaren jeugdspelers, maar ook voor dames en heren die bewust kiezen voor een lichter racket met hoge controle.
Daarnaast is dit racket ook inzetbaar voor linkerkantspelers met een allround speelstijl, die niet afhankelijk zijn van brute smashpower maar wel precisie en snelheid in hun spel willen.
Belangrijkste eigenschappen
De Cybershape-vorm zorgt voor een ongeveer 20 procent grotere sweetspot dan bij traditionele ronde rackets. Deze sweetspot ligt hoger en breder in het blad, wat extra zekerheid geeft bij slagen dicht bij het glas en de vloer. De balans ligt neutraal tot licht, wat bijdraagt aan de hoge wendbaarheid en het gecontroleerde karakter.
Het slagvlak is opgebouwd uit 18K Carbon Silver Weave en heeft een medium tot medium-hard bladgevoel. Het blad is duidelijk minder hard dan de 18K Hard-varianten, met meer flex en een zachter balcontact, maar wel directer en preciezer dan modellen met lagere carbon-waarden. Dit zorgt voor een fijne combinatie van controle, snelheid en gevoel.
Het frame bestaat uit het 360 Carbon Frame, volledig van carbon, wat zorgt voor stabiliteit en snelle respons, ook bij hogere balsnelheden. De kern biedt voldoende demping om het racket armvriendelijk te houden, zonder het directe karakter te verliezen.
Het slagvlak is afgewerkt met Crystal Grip, een ruwe textuur die extra spin en controle mogelijk maakt. De verlengde grip biedt extra flexibiliteit en ruimte voor tweehands slagen. De polsband is afneembaar en eenvoudig te vervangen.
Speelgevoel en prestaties
Op de baan voelt de Stiga Cybershape 18K LW 2 licht, gecontroleerd en zeer wendbaar aan. In rally’s speel je met veel rust en precisie, terwijl het racket snel reageert in verdedigende situaties en aan het net. Aanvallend kun je goed versnellen vanuit timing en techniek, zonder dat het racket onrustig of te direct wordt. Off-center contact wordt beter vergeven dan bij de Hard-uitvoeringen, wat zorgt voor meer consistentie.
