Siux Fenix Pro 26 - Technical Review
The Fenix Pro is Leo Augsburger’s racket and the most distinctly offensive model that Siux is producing this season. You can tell that even before you pick it up, because the shape gives it away right away—this isn’t a smooth diamond but a blade with straight segments and visible corners. Siux itself calls it a “geometric template.” The short conclusion up front: that angular shape explains why this racket hits so hard—and why it only does so when you make clean contact.

What the scale says
A tested unit weighs 360 grams out of the box, with a balance point of 27.5 centimeters. The manufacturer’s specification is 355 to 375 grams, so this particular unit is actually at the lower end of the range. Of the three Siux Pros that were measured, this is the lightest racket, and yet it feels like the heaviest when you swing it.
That’s due to the balance point. That 27.5 centimeters isn’t just high—it’s at the upper limit of what you’ll find on the market. Siux hasn’t added weight here but has redistributed it; the scale shows a normal number, while the swing weight is well above average. That’s exactly what players misjudge when they pick up rackets in the store and weigh them by feel. Static weight says little about swing feel, and with this racket, those two factors are furthest apart. Here, too, there’s a 20-gram variation within the same model name, so ask about the weight or weigh it yourself.
The core: high-density EVA
The core is even stiffer than that of the Electra Pro. It’s the same characteristic, taken a step further: the foam barely deforms, the ball sits close to the face and launches quickly—provided you generate speed yourself. The difference from the Electra lies in what happens when you don’t. There, the shape compensates slightly; here, it doesn’t.
That also makes it clear where this racket’s power comes from. Not from a core that springs back—because it doesn’t—but from the frame and the leverage that goes with it.
The Blade
The blade is made of 12K carbon. As already described for the Electra Pro, that “K” number only indicates how many thousand filaments are in a bundle—it says nothing about how stiff the laminate ultimately becomes. More relevant here is the finish: matte, with a distinct 3D texture that grips the ball well. With a Vibora or a Bandeja, you notice this immediately, though—just like the rest of this racket—it requires precise ball contact before you see any benefit from it.
Blade shape and balance point: the geometric template
This is the technical heart of this racket. A classic diamond shape runs from the centerline in a continuous curve toward the head; as you move higher, the head narrows and material is removed. The Fenix doesn’t do that. It has straight segments and corners exactly where a regular diamond would round off, and as a result, material remains where it would be gone in a rounded template.
That material is present in two places at once, and each of those two places serves a different purpose. Mass high in the head raises the balance point. That’s where the 27.5 centimeters comes from. The lever arm is longer, so at the same swing speed, more energy is transferred to the ball. This racket hits harder than the Electra Pro even though it’s ten grams lighter, and that explains it.
Mass located far from the longitudinal axis increases torsional resistance, and that’s something that’s almost never discussed. If you hit the ball off-center on the head, the racket wants to rotate around its own longitudinal axis. The farther the mass is from that axis, the greater the resistance to that rotation. An angular head retains material in the outer corners, so it’s farther from that axis than a rounded head does. As a result, off-center hits cost you less with this racket than you’d expect.
Tuning with the dampeners
With the Fenix Pro, too, the ShockOut dampeners are no longer installed in the head by the manufacturer. They’re sold separately, and with this racket they’re more worthwhile than with the other two, because a core that deforms so little also absorbs very little vibration. What doesn’t stay in the core ends up in your arm.
The same principle applies to tuning as with the Electra Pro: at 0.9 grams each, a single dampener barely changes your total weight, but its contribution to swing weight increases with the square of the distance to your wrist. With this model, however, the direction is clear. Dampeners at the top amplify exactly what the Fenix is already extreme at, and that’s not an advantage for virtually anyone. The sensible approach is to move them down—place everything in the bottom rows of holes. You maintain the damping and regain a bit of responsiveness. This doesn’t make it an all-rounder, but it does take the edge off.
