Adidas Avacourt 2 CL W
The Adidas Avacourt 2 CL W is the clay-court version of the Avacourt line from Adidas and is designed for women’s feet. This model features the Cloud White / Silver Metallic colorway: an all-white, finely woven mesh upper with only the three stripes and the brand label on the tongue finished in metallic silver. The midsole and outsole continue in the same white, and on the inner side of the forefoot is a smooth, slightly stiffer reinforcement with an Adituff print. That is the only place where the upper’s texture changes.
Underfoot is a Bounce Pro midsole, which adidas uses for responsive cushioning, incorporating the Torsion System that supports the midfoot during quick changes of direction. The upper consists of breathable mesh with a low collar around the ankle and a standard lace closure. The lining and insole are made of textile; the insole does not feature any separate cushioning technology specifically named by adidas. The rubber outsole, which adidas classifies under its Repetitor technology, has a continuous herringbone pattern across the entire outsole.
Who is the Adidas Avacourt 2 CL W designed for?
This shoe was developed by adidas specifically for women’s play and is classified as a clay court shoe. The herringbone tread pattern is optimized for clay and sand-infused artificial turf, such as that found on padel courts. adidas recommends this shoe for a neutral foot strike, meaning it’s ideal for players who do not require significant pronation or supination correction.
What is the fit of the adidas Avacourt 2 CL W?
adidas offers the Avacourt 2 CL W in a regular fit: a standard, non-tapered last with a low collar that leaves the ankle exposed. On the adidas size chart, this model is listed at the smallest setting, meaning the shoe runs small compared to the listed size. Therefore, order one size larger than you normally wear.
Does the Adidas Avacourt 2 CL W have extra cushioning?
The cushioning comes from the Bounce Pro midsole, which adidas describes as responsive and extending the full length of the shoe. So this isn’t Boost or Lightstrike, but rather part of the Bounce family. adidas does not publish the cushioning height or heel-to-toe drop for this model, so we cannot provide a specific value in millimeters.
Stability and traction of the Adidas Avacourt 2 CL W
Stability comes primarily from the Torsion System in the midsole, which prevents the forefoot and heel from twisting relative to each other when you step out of a slide. Traction comes from the herringbone pattern on the rubber outsole: this allows for a controlled slide on clay and releases sand rather than trapping it. On the inside of the forefoot, the Adituff reinforcement is positioned where the shoe rubs against the court during dragging foot movements.
