Babolat Premura 3 Black/Gold
The Babolat Premura 3 is Babolat’s lightest and most responsive padel shoe, designed with speed, ventilation and footwork in mind. This Black/Gold version is the most understated colourway in the range: a completely black upper with only the Babolat logo on the side and heel in gold. The midsole and outsole also remain black, including the subtle herringbone pattern underfoot.
Who is the Babolat Premura 3 Black/Gold suitable for?
This model suits players who build their points on pace: quick runs to the net, short sprints and plenty of lateral movement. The upper is made from Matryx Micro with wider mesh zones, a technical fabric that provides support without adding weight and keeps the foot dry during long rallies. Those primarily looking for a soft and thickly cushioned comfort model will find this shoe feels more responsive.
What is the fit like for the Babolat Premura 3 Black/Gold?
Babolat produces the Premura 3 with a standard last and a 10 mm heel-to-toe drop. The ultra-light tongue and 3D heel construction provide a snug fit around the midfoot and heel, ensuring the foot stays in place during explosive stops. Order your usual size. Babolat does not provide any specific sizing advice for this model; if you have a wider forefoot, the standard last may feel more snug than a roomier, comfort-oriented shoe.
Does the Babolat Premura 3 Black/Gold feature extra cushioning?
The cushioning comes from an EVA midsole tuned for rebound, complemented by a removable Ortholite HybridPlus Bio insole made from 57% recycled material. This combination absorbs impact without compromising the direct feel on the court, which is in keeping with the reactive nature of the Premura range.
Stability and grip of the Babolat Premura 3 Black/Gold
Stability is provided by the thick lateral inserts in the midsole – the ‘teeth’ for which the Premura range is renowned – which extend from the midfoot through to the forefoot. Using the Human Fab Padel programme, Babolat has measured a 7% increase in support compared to the previous generation. The 100% padel-specific outsole was developed in collaboration with Michelin and features 360° Flex grooves that allow the shoe to flex during rapid changes of direction on clay and artificial grass.
