The Head Motion Pro Padel is the first shoe that Head has designed entirely around padel, in collaboration with its own professional players. This White/Black version keeps things light and sleek: a white mesh upper with anthracite-grey overlays across the heel and midfoot, and in between, two bright yellow loops of the Lockdown Strap that immediately catch the eye when lacing up. ‘Cooling System’ is printed on the tongue; the dark grey outsole runs as a narrow rim around the off-white midsole.

Head positions the Motion Pro for the all-court player: someone who covers the entire court and adapts their game point by point. The shoe therefore doesn’t overemphasise any single feature. Head itself describes the main advantage as the best combination of low weight, stability, durability and cushioning. The outsole has been developed for artificial grass and synthetic courts with a rubber underlay, where quick changes of direction and controlled movement are more important than speed in a straight line.

What is the fit like for the Head Motion Pro Padel White/Black?

Head describes the Motion Pro as having a medium fit: there is ample space in the toe box and across the midfoot, making it suitable for average to slightly wider feet. This space is accommodated by the Sock Support System, an elastic sock-like construction that envelops the foot from the very first step, and by the Lockdown Strap: midfoot straps integrated into the lacing system that hold the foot in place as soon as you tighten the laces.

Does the Head Motion Pro Padel White/Black offer extra cushioning?

The cushioning comes from DynaFoam, a lightweight and highly responsive midsole constructed from small air cells. Head states that this construction offers greater comfort than a conventional EVA midsole and also lasts longer. The Cooling System also provides 360-degree ventilation through both the sole and the upper, keeping the foot cooler during long matches.

Underneath the shoe lies Head’s Motion Tread outsole, made from the HyBrasion+ rubber compound, which is designed for traction and durability. At the front, Drift Defense protects the toe and forefoot area with a hard-wearing rubber and TPU layer, precisely where the shoe wears down when you drag your forefoot.
