Lok Maxx Hype 2
The Lok Maxx Hype 2 is a padel racket developed for advanced players who play offensive padel and value power, stability, and immediate response. This model is clearly not an entry-level racket, nor is it an all-round control model. The Maxx Hype 2 is designed for players who take the initiative and want to finish the point with speed and impact.
Within the Lok range, the Maxx Hype 2 is known as a distinctly power-oriented model, positioned higher than the Flow and Be models, and intended for players with an active, attacking playing style.
What type of player is this racket suitable for?
The Lok Maxx Hype 2 is primarily suitable for advanced left-handed players who base their game on smashes, aggressive volleys, and overheads. Players who put a lot of pressure on the net and want to actively finish the point will get the most out of this racket.
In addition, this racket can also be used by right-handed players who play clearly offensively and regularly move to the net. For right-handed players who mainly want to build up the game from control and play long rallies, this racket is less suitable.
Key features
The diamond shape provides a high sweet spot, which provides support for offensive shots. The balance is clearly towards the top, which helps generate extra speed and impact on smashes and overheads.
The hitting surface is made of 18K carbon and has a hard feel. The high carbon concentration combined with a stiff EVA core results in very short ball contact time and direct feedback. This delivers high ball speed and great precision on clean contact, but also results in a smaller sweet spot and little forgiveness. This is a typical hard racket according to the established definition.
The core consists of EVA rubber with a firm tuning, which provides stability without softening the direct character of the racket. Comfort is present, but clearly secondary to power and directness.
Playing feel and performance
On the court, the Lok Maxx Hype 2 feels hard, explosive, and very direct. On smashes and volleys, the racket delivers a lot of speed and a tight, short ball feel. In defensive situations and on off-center hits, the racket demands good technique and timing and is not very forgiving.
This makes the Lok Maxx Hype 2 a clear choice for offensive left-handed players who are looking for a hard blade, 18K carbon, and maximum power, and are willing to sacrifice comfort and margin for error in exchange for finishing power and pressure.
