How do you place an overgrip on your padel racket?
An overgrip offers more grip and comfort to your padel racket, but how do you turn the grip around the handle correctly? Justpadel.nl will explain this to you in this blog.
First, place the starting point of your overgrip on the starting point of your handle. Then place your finger on it and turn one straight circle around the bottom of the handle. Then slowly turn the overgrip diagonally upwards. Note that the overgrip continues to overlap and that you no longer see the basic grip in between. Once you get to the top of the handle, cut the overgrip at an angle so that it runs straight with the end of the handle. Once that has been done, you can finish it neatly. To do this, twist the plastic adhesive that comes with it at the top of the handle.
It is important that you twist the overgrip tightly around the handle.
Left-handed or right-handed?
When applying your overgrip, you must take into account your preference for action while padel.
Right-handed players should hold the padel racket upside down and turn the overgrip to the right.
Left-handed players should hold the padel racket upside down and turn the overgrip to the left.
