World Padel Tour

The World Padel Tour is the largest professional padel circuit in the world. Every week, different pairs compete against each other at the highest level. This season, the players have once again done everything they can to collect as many points as possible and climb the WPT rankings! This has resulted in several new pairs, which fans and experts have been discussing for months. There are several reasons for the re-pairing in the World Padel Tour.

Firstly, communication and cooperation between partners is essential in a sport like padel. Playingwith the same partner year after year can cause tension and frustration. Many players hope that this season a new pairing will take their game to the next level, thanks to a new dynamic and improved sense of teamwork.

The second reason for new pairings is to increase competitiveness in the World Padel Tour. When players play with different partners, they can discover new strategies and techniques, which can lead to surprising results. This also makes it even more fun for spectators to follow the World Padel Tour.

World Padel Tour pairs

This season, several enthusiastic pairs have only one goal in mind: to score as many points as possible! It promises to be another exciting battle between the best players in the world. There are a number of players who are aiming for the top spot in the WPT rankings with a trusted partner:

Juan LeBron and Alejandro Galan

These two top players have been in first place since their first season together in 2020. Many players are eager to beat this duo, but that may prove to be quite difficult. Over the past three years, these Spaniards have won many matches. Last season, they even won 14 tournaments! A large share of the points is thanks to the unstoppable viboras that Galan produces withthisAdidaspadel racket.

Curious to see how this pair will fare this season? Keep an eye on our blog!

Álex Ruiz and Momo González

The second pair who have known each other for a long time are Álex Ruiz and Momo González. Both men were asked by other players to form a pair with them, but these WPT top players decided to stay together. And rightly so:Ruiz and González are friends on and off the court and reached the final twice last season. So we need to keep a close eye on this pair!

Alejandro Ruiz plans to climb a few places in the WPT rankings with thisracket. We look forward to seeing if he succeeds!

Paquito Navarro and Juan Tello

There is something special going on with this pair: they have already announced that they want to find another partner. The WPT pre-season has been underway for a while. Two of the first three tournaments were outdoor, which meant that Navarro and Tello had to adapt their playing style to such an extent that victory was not even in sight. The men hoped to achieve a better result at La Rioja, an indoor tournament that was third on the schedule. However, victory eluded them once again.

As a result, the pair decided to use the two-week break they now have to get used to a new partner. Both players are now looking for a partner who can play on the right side. Experts say that this will result in at least two more pairs changing.

We are curious to see what results both men will achieve with a new partner. In any case, itwillnot be due to the rackets they play with.

Javi Garrido and Fede Chingotto

The last pair that has remained unchanged consists of Javi Garrido and Fede Chingotto. These men played five tournaments together last year, reaching the semifinals twice and the quarterfinals once. Definitely a pair to keep an eye on!

These pros are also competing with top rackets. See how they turn every match into a padel show here !

New World Padel Tour pairs

Fans are not only looking forward to seeing what the above pairs will bring to the World Padel Tour, but also to the performances of the new pairs. How will the new combinations perform against the established names in the competition? Some notable changes in pairs include:

Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia

These top players won the last tournament in Chile against LeBron and Galan! They have now won thirteen consecutive matches, which bodes well for the coming season! Once they get used to each other, they should be able to beat anyone.

Fernando Belasteguín and Daniel Sanyo Gutiérrez

Two of the best padel players in the world are joining forces! We are very curious to see how many points this pair will score this season with their high-qualityrackets. These men have already played six tournaments together in 2021, winning several of them. Last season, both top players had to look for a new partner. The choice was quickly made; both players were looking for a left-handed partner who could match their level, and there aren't many of those...

Franco Stupaczuk and Martin di Nenno

This special pair is reuniting after eight years. The men have already won many matches together in Argentina. Originally, they both preferred the left side of the court. We look forward to seeing these men play; their padel rackets support a mix of the fast-paced padel game we know today and the classic old-school style of padel.

The other new pairs are:

  • Invanxo Ramirez and Pablo Cardona
    • Cardona is only nineteen and already European champion.
  • Javier Ruiz and Gonzalo Rubio
  • Agustin Gomez Silingo and Juan Martín Díaz
    • This is the oldest pair, but the men are certainly not inferior to the other pairs. They know each other through and through as friends, and Diaz has even been number 1 for fourteen years in a row.
    • Alejandro Arroyo Albert and Mike Yanguas
    • Miguel Lamperti and Juan Cruz Belluati
      • Maxis Sánchez and Lucas Campagnolo
      • Coki Nieto and Pablo Lima
        • Both players are among the absolute best when it comes to defensive playing style. It will be a surprise to see how well this pair works together. They have had less time to train together because Lima had to be in Brazil.
