The Babolat Technical Viper Soft 3.0 is a padel racket developed for advanced to pro players who play offensively and technically, but consciously choose more comfort and playability than with the standard Technical Viper. This model is not a signature racket by Juan Lebrón, but an independent Soft variant within the Technical line, focused on power with extra cushioning.
The Technical Viper Soft 3.0 is intended for players who put a lot of pressure on their opponents with smashes and overheads, but want to relieve their arm and seek more margin during intensive play.
What type of player is this racket suitable for?
The Babolat Technical Viper Soft 3.0 is particularly suitable for advanced to pro level left-handed players who want to finish the point with powerful smashes and aggressive net play, but do not want to play continuously with an extremely hard blade.
In addition, this racket can also be used by right-handed players who play more aggressively and have sufficient technique to handle a diamond-shaped racket. This model is less suitable for controlling right-handed players who want to dictate the game from a calm position.
Key features
The diamond shape provides a high sweet spot, which offers maximum support for attacking shots and overheads. The balance is clearly towards the top, in line with the power-oriented character of the Technical line.
The hitting surface is constructed from Carbon Twill 3K. This material is more flexible than traditional stiff carbon and provides a medium to medium-soft feel. The blade is not hard. Compared to the regular Technical Viper, this Soft version offers more ball contact time, more comfort, and a slightly larger sweet spot, while clearly retaining its power.
The core consists of softer EVA rubber, which effectively absorbs vibrations and reduces strain on the arm and shoulder. This makes the racket better suited for longer matches and intensive playing sessions.
The rough surface of the blade helps generate extra spin, which gives you more control, especially on attacking shots and placed balls.
Playing feel and performance
On the court, the Babolat Technical Viper Soft 3.0 feels powerful and explosive, but clearly more comfortable than the standard Technical Viper. Smashes come off easily, while the softer blade offers more margin for less precise contact. In defensive situations, the racket remains more manageable than the hard Viper variant.
