De Babolat Counter Veron 2.6 is een padelracket dat is ontwikkeld voor intermediate tot gevorderde spelers die hun spel baseren op controle, stabiliteit en counterend spel. Dit model is de Veron-variant binnen de Counter-lijn en vormt de middenweg tussen de toegankelijke Vertuo en de veeleisende Viper. Het racket is bedoeld voor spelers die het punt opbouwen vanuit rust en pas versnellen wanneer de situatie daarom vraagt.
De Counter Veron 2.6 is geen puur powerracket en ook geen instapmodel. Het is een controlegericht wedstrijdracket met powerreserve, dat vooral uitblinkt in consistentie en voorspelbaarheid.
Voor welk type speler is dit racket geschikt
De Babolat Counter Veron 2.6 is vooral geschikt voor rechterkantspelers op intermediate tot gevorderd niveau die sterk zijn in rally’s, verdediging, lobs en plaatsing. Spelers die graag counteren en fouten afdwingen bij de tegenstander halen het maximale uit dit racket.
Daarnaast is dit racket ook inzetbaar voor linkerkantspelers met een allround of controlerende speelstijl, die niet afhankelijk zijn van smashpower maar wel gecontroleerd willen aanvallen. Voor uitgesproken aanvallende linkerkantspelers die een hard blad zoeken, is dit model minder geschikt.
Belangrijkste eigenschappen
De ronde tot licht hybride vorm zorgt voor een grote en centraal geplaatste sweetspot, wat veel controle en foutvergevingsgezindheid biedt bij minder zuiver contact. De balans ligt midden, waardoor het racket stabiel blijft en makkelijk te hanteren is in verdedigende situaties.
Het slagvlak is opgebouwd uit carbon met Babolat’s Carbon Flex-technologie en heeft een medium bladgevoel. Het blad is duidelijk niet hard. Door de combinatie van carbon en flexibelere materialen ontstaat meer balcontacttijd en comfort dan bij de Counter Viper, terwijl het blad wel strak genoeg blijft voor precisie en gecontroleerde versnelling.
De kern bestaat uit EVA-rubber met een gecontroleerde en dempende respons, wat trillingen vermindert en zorgt voor een stabiele en voorspelbare baluitgang.
Speelgevoel en prestaties
Op de baan voelt de Babolat Counter Veron 2.6 rustig, stabiel en zeer betrouwbaar aan. In rally’s speel je met veel controle en vertrouwen, ook onder druk. Wanneer je versnelt, levert het racket voldoende power om het punt af te maken, zonder dat de controle verloren gaat.
