Joma Slam Classic Black
The Joma Slam Classic in Black is the black version of the classic Slam. The black mesh upper, featuring a silver Joma logo and an orange Joma padel brand, sits on a completely white midsole with the words ‘REACTIVE BALL’ printed on it, and on a white herringbone outsole. This black-and-white contrast sets this colourway apart from the plain white and navy blue versions.
Who is the Joma Slam Classic Black suitable for?
Joma describes the Slam Classic as the classic Slam that brings back the best in performance and technology, designed for professional padel and tested by players such as Juanlu Esbri on national and international circuits. Joma states that the shoe is intended for training and competition and emphasises stability, grip and cushioning. This makes it suitable for players who move sideways a lot from the baseline and want a shoe that provides support under repeated stress.
What is the fit like for the Joma Slam Classic Black?
The upper is made from breathable mesh featuring the VTS ventilation system, which ensures a constant flow of air. The thermally welded Joma SPORTECH fit system moulds the shoe to the foot without adding extra weight or creating friction points. The toe area is protected by PROTECTION, a lightweight thermal reinforcement that strengthens the toe cap and extends the shoe’s lifespan. Order your usual size.
Does the Joma Slam Classic Black offer extra cushioning?
Yes. The midsole has a dual-density design. The REACTIVE BALL lower layer absorbs every landing and returns that energy, whilst the denser phylon upper layer provides support. At the front, FLEXO lines run through the sole to make the foot roll-off smoother.
Stability and grip of the Joma Slam Classic Black
The STABILIS element in the midsole works in conjunction with the denser phylon to counteract unwanted torsion. Underneath is a clay outsole made from DURABILITY rubber with a herringbone tread pattern: this channels sand away so you maintain grip on a slippery surface, whilst also allowing for controlled slides.
