Bullpadel Vertex Vibram 25I Garnet
The Bullpadel Vertex Vibram 25I is Juan Tello’s padel shoe and is part of Bullpadel’s Pro Line, the range for advanced and professional players. This Garnet version is a deep burgundy red from top to bottom, the only break in the colour being a white section in the midsole that flows into a completely white Vibram outsole. The black, bowl-shaped heel counter featuring the Bullpadel logo is the detail that most clearly distinguishes this colourway from the green and dark blue versions.
Who is the Bullpadel Vertex Vibram 25I Garnet suitable for?
Bullpadel classifies the Vertex Vibram 25I as a ‘stability’ performance shoe, rating its stability at 5 out of 5, compared to 3 out of 5 for speed. This makes it a shoe for players who place heavy and lateral loads on their feet: accelerating rapidly along the side of the court, pushing off hard during smashes and returning quickly to the net. With this model, the brand explicitly targets advanced and professional players and recommends it for intensive use, partly thanks to the seamless moulded rubber toe cap that protects the entire side of the shoe. If you’re primarily looking for a light, fast shoe, this isn’t the model Bullpadel would recommend.
How is the fit of the Bullpadel Vertex Vibram 25I Garnet?
The construction and the extra padding around the heel provide a snug, secure fit at the back of the shoe, which explains the controlled feel during changes of direction. Please note the sizing: Bullpadel itself states that this model runs large and advises ordering the next size smaller than your usual size. Bullpadel does not publish any information on the width of the last, so we cannot comment on that.
Does the Bullpadel Vertex Vibram 25I Garnet offer extra cushioning?
The cushioning scores 2.5 out of 5 on Bullpadel’s own scale: it’s present, but not the shoe’s main focus. The work is done by the CATAPULT system, an element within the midsole with a dual function: it stabilises every landing whilst providing feedback during push-off. In addition, Bullpadel has fitted this model with 2Dens and an ORTHOLITE insole, and there is extra padding in the heel area. The result is a better feel for the court than you’d get from a dedicated comfort shoe, whilst still offering sufficient protection on hard landings.
Stability and grip of the Bullpadel Vertex Vibram 25I Garnet
The outsole is a hybrid Vibram tread: a pattern that provides grip on both artificial grass and hard surfaces whilst allowing for controlled sliding. Vibram is particularly renowned for its durability, which makes all the difference during intensive play. In terms of stability, Bullpadel has incorporated X-Trabase and Hybrid 360° technology into this model, complemented by Sole Shield, Lateral Movement, Thermosealed and the Toughtoe toe cap. Together with the sturdy heel construction, this provides the lateral support that earns it a score of 5 out of 5 for stability.
